Mia Luce Southern Gothic CGC RN GRC 2009 Updates!
Flannery is my newest and youngest IG. Flannery was surrendered to a humane society in Iowa in August 2007, along with a male IG (Rudy), and their two 12-week-old puppies, later named Nico and Jack by their adopters. I fostered this adorable seal and white IG and adopted her at the end of September 2007, making her foster failure number 3. Born November 2004, Flannery has brought new adventure into our home of middle-aged IGs. She's high-energy and playful, and can always be counted on to welcome the new foster dogs. She also considers Gandhi to be her 'big boyfriend,' and spends much of her spare time either playing chase with him in the yard, or snuggling under blankets on the couch with him as he cleans her ears. Nicknamed 'Ten Pounds of Trouble,' Flannery is still very puppy-like and a bit silly. She's full of kisses and tail wagging that wiggles her entire body. She started 2008 by earning her Canine Good Citizen award in March, and in August qualified for her AKC Rally Novice title in three days at the St. Croix Kennel Club Show in Lake Elmo, MN. Flannery's training now for her Rally Advanced title, and will possibly go on to Rally Excellent. We may even consider working towards a Companion Dog title, at some point. Flannery has loads of prey drive and loves to 'chase the bunny.' She was unable to try lure coursing in 2008, due to a shoulder injury from an accident with a foster dog. Fortunately, she was able to straight race (LGRA) a few days in the 2008 season and was High Point Opposite Sex Italian Greyhound at the Northland Sprint Challenge. | ||
